Chicago Prep vs. Fort Erie International Academy
The day started with a highly anticipated matchup as Chicago Prep squared off against Fort Erie International Academy. Fort Erie dominated the early morning showdown, defeating Chicago Prep 87-64. Sqder Servilus was a standout, leading Fort Erie with 22 points. Fort Erie maintained the lead throughout, pulling away late to secure a solid win. Owen Urquhart added 10 points and snagged a game-high 9 rebounds, fortifying the team’s control in the paint. For Chicago Prep, Mike Jones and Tristian Ford were the bright spots, putting up 31 and 28 points, respectively. Chicago Prep will aim to rebound as they prepare for a face-off with Minnesota Prep next Saturday in the Grind Session’s Miami event.
St. Francis Academy vs. Code Academy
In the second game of the day, St. Francis Academy from Quebec dominated Toronto’s Code Academy with an impressive 83-30 victory. St. Francis had four players scoring in double figures, led by Amelia Sow, who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Code Academy’s leading scorer was Seyyane Mathew, who posted 15 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, but St. Francis proved too strong and controlled the game from start to finish.
Fort Erie International Academy (Women’s Team) vs. Dream City Christian (Women’s Team)
In their second game of the day, Fort Erie’s women’s team overcame a slow start against Dream City Christian, eventually securing a commanding 98-38 victory. Cearah Parchment led the way with a double-double, scoring 23 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and adding 2 assists and 3 steals. Fort Erie saw strong contributions from multiple players: Portia Reisen scored 15 points, Danyelle London added 14, Maya Foz contributed 12, Sophie Munn netted 14, and Nyadieng Yiech finished with 12 points. For Dream City, Dianalynn Howell was the top performer, tallying 11 points and 5 rebounds despite the loss.
Fort Erie International Academy vs. Utah Prep
The most thrilling game of the day came as Fort Erie edged out Utah Prep in a nail-biting 72-70 finish, handing Utah Prep their first loss of the season. Fort Erie’s Promise N’Landu led his team with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and an assist. Deng Ngor added 15 points and filled the stat sheet with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. AJ Dybantsa of Utah Prep showcased his skill under intense defensive pressure, leading all scorers with 23 points and pulling down 9 rebounds. Anthony Felesi also contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds for Utah Prep, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Fort Erie’s resilience in front of their home crowd.
