AJ Dybantsa, Mikel Brown, Jr., Ikenna Alozie, Bella Hines, and Nyadieng Yiech to battle this weekend in the elite showcase of tomorrow’s college, NBA/WNBA stars.

Five Grind Session stars have been named to the USA and World rosters for the 26th Nike Hoop Summit, which features a men’s and women’s game between the top high school seniors in the country and the best prospects from around the world.

The 2025 Team USA men’s roster will feature Utah Prep’s AJ Dybantsa and DME Academy’s Mikel Brown, Jr. Meanwhile, Dream City Christian’s Ikenna Alozie will suit up for the World squad.

In the women’s game, the World team will call upon Fort Erie International’s Nyadieng Yiech and Albuquerque Prep’s Bella Hines when they battle with the U.S. at the annual showcase.

“The Nike Hoop Summit is one of USA Basketball’s signature events and has long been a proving ground for the college, NBA, and WNBA stars of tomorrow,” said Grind Session co-founder and CEO Scott Waldrup. “We’re excited for the Grind Session’s strong presence at the event this year and can’t wait to watch these future stars compete in what will no doubt be an unforgettable double-header.”

Here’s more about the Grind Session stars set to take the stage at this year’s Nike Hoop Summit:

  • AJ Dybantsa played his senior year at Utah Prep and remained the consensus top-rated prospect in the Class of 2025 throughout the 2024-2025 season. A McDonald’s All-American and the presumptive first overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, he signed a significant NIL deal with BYU and is set to join the Cougars next season. He received offers from nearly every Division 1 college basketball program in the nation during his recruitment.
  • Mikel Brown, Jr. is a consensus Top 10 prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle from DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. A 2025 McDonald’s All-American and Naismith High School Player of the Year semifinalist, Bown became the second-highest ranked recruit in Louisville history when he committed to the Cardinals in January, securing a significant NIL deal with Adidas in the process. He chose Louisville over 25 other D1 scholarship offers from the likes of Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, Alabama, Baylor, and more.
  • Ikenna Alozie is a five-star prospect out of Dream City Christian and a Top 10 recruit in the Class of 2026, according to three of the four major recruiting sites (ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals). Only a junior, Alozie already has more than 20 college offers from some of the top programs in the country, including Arizona, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Oregon, and St. John’s.
  • Bella Hines of Albuquerque Prep is a five-star recruit and the 30th ranked women’s basketball player for the 2025 class, according to ESPN’s HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings. Earlier this year, in addition to reaching 3,000 career points in her high school career, the 2025 McDonald’s All-American nominee and LSU bound guard signed a multi-year NIL deal with Jordan Brand. She will represent Mexico on the women’s World team.
  • Nyadieng Yiech is a four-star recruit and Florida commit who spent her junior and senior years of high school with Fort Erie International. A Top 100 prospect, she was recently named the 2025 Canadian Girls Player of the Year and will represent Canada on the women’s World team.

An impressive 297 Nike Hoop Summit men’s alumni have been drafted into the NBA with 15 being selected No. 1 overall and 94 in the top 10. A total of 41 NBA All-Stars have appeared in a Nike Hoop Summit men’s game, including Paolo Banchero (2021), Scottie Barnes (2020), Jaylen Brown (2015), Jalen Brunson (2015), Anthony Davis (2011), Kevin Durant (2006), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (2017), Nikola Jokic (2014), Tyrese Maxey (2019), Julius Randle (2013), and Jayson Tatum (2016).

On the women’s side, 2023 Nike Hoop Summit World team alumni Shaneice Swain earned the distinction as the first Hoop Summit player to be drafted into the WNBA when she was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in the second round of the 2023 WNBA Draft. Nyadiew Puoch, who also played for the World Team in 2023, was drafted by the Atlanta Dream with the 12th overall pick in 2024.
