AJ Dybantsa, Mikel Brown, Jr., and Ikenna Alozie Shine in 2025 Nike Hoop Summit

The best high school basketball players in the world took center stage on Saturday night at the Nike Hoop Summit. In the end, the Grind Session’s three participating stars in the men’s game – AJ Dybantsa (Utah Prep) Mikel Brown, Jr. (DME Academy), and Ikenna Alozie (Dream City Christian) – lived up to their hype.

Dybantsa and Brown starred for Team USA, while Alozie impressed as a member of the World squad.

Team USA edged out the World team in a thrilling 124–114 overtime victory.

AJ Dybantsa (USA)

Game notes: Dybantsa played a team-high 35 minutes and impacted the game across all categories, finishing with 24 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3PT, 9-10 FT), six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. He also shot an efficient 54% from the floor. The topic of much conversation on social media throughout the game, Dybantsa showed why he’s the projected top overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

General: Dybantsa played his senior year at Utah Prep and remained the consensus top-rated prospect in the Class of 2025 throughout the 2024-2025 season. A McDonalds All-American and the presumptive first overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, he signed a significant NIL deal with BYU and is set to join the Cougars next season. He received offers from nearly every Division 1 college basketball program in the nation during his recruitment.

Mikel Brown Jr. (USA)
6-2 175 | DME Academy (FL) | Class of 2025 | Louisville

Game notes: Brown scored 17 points to go along with three assists and and a game-high three steals in 24 minutes. He dazzled with his impressive ball-handling skills and creative vision and stayed aggressive throughout the USA victory.

General: Brown is a consensus Top 10 prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle from DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. A 2025 McDonald’s All-American and Naismith High School Player of the Year semifinalist, he became the second-highest ranked recruit in Louisville history when he committed to the Cardinals in January, securing a significant NIL deal with Adidas in the process. He chose Louisville over 25 other D1 scholarship offers from the likes of Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, Alabama, Baylor, and more.

Ikenna Alozie (World)
6-2 185 | Dream City Christian (AZ) | Class of 2026 | Undeclared

Game notes: Alozie showed every bit of why he’s a consensus top 10 prospect in the Class of 2026 recruiting cycle. He recorded nine points with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a team-high 31 minutes. He demonstrated raw athleticism and elite burst with the ball in his hands, while combining extreme speed and power to get downhill like few other players on the court.

General: Alozie is a five-star prospect out of Dream City Christian and a Top 10 recruit in the Class of 2026, according to three of the four major recruiting sites (ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals). Only a junior, he already has more than 20 college offers from some of the top programs in the country, including Arizona, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Oregon, and St. John’s.
