The Grind Session continues to solidify its reputation as the premier high school basketball circuit in the country, as two of its elite teams took down the nation’s #1 ranked squads in consecutive marquee matchups.

Utah Prep Stuns Link Academy, 65-49
On Tuesday, Utah Prep, led by the electric AJ Dybantsa, delivered a dominant performance against Link Academy, handing them a decisive 65-49 loss. Dybantsa, the nation’s top high school basketball prospect and projected #1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, was named MVP of the game. He posted an impressive double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Utah Prep controlled the game on both ends, particularly in the second half, where they outscored Link 34-21. Heading into halftime with a narrow three-point lead, Utah extended their control by dominating the boards with 33 total rebounds and shutting down Link’s offense.

Anthony Felesi and Washington Huskies commit JJ Mandaquit also shined in the victory. Felesi contributed 17 points, while Mandaquit added 15 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds to round out the team’s stellar performance.

Earlier in the week, Prolific Prep set the tone for the Grind Session’s banner week with a commanding 66-54 win over Columbus (FL) in Boca Raton. Prolific Prep was powered by 5-star recruit Darryn Peterson, who showcased his elite scoring and leadership to dismantle another #1 ranked team in the country.
